The Facts About Little Black Ants

How to tell if you have Little Black Ants (monomorium minimum)

The first thing to know is that a Little Black Ant is not a sugar ant, but is literally called a Little Black Ant. These pesky ants are becoming a nuisance in the pest control industry and treating them has become a bit on the tricky side. These ants eat just about anything, and they love rotting wood and dark spaces. Their antennas have twelve segments with three-segmented clubs at the end. The pedicel is two segmented. They can have up to two or more queens in their colonies. They can nest in virtually anything. Outside they will be in the ground, in trees, in mulch, in cracks in sidewalks and driveways, in rotting wood, under rocks, etc. Inside, black ants will nest in woodwork, masonry, wall voids, and under carpets.

Phantom Termiticide / Insecticide

Phantom is an indoor/outdoor termiticide and insecticide that kills termites, ants, cockroaches and more through a powerful non-repellent active ingredient. Pests can’t even detect Phantom, so they walk right over it and then spread it to other insects hidden behind walls or in their home colony, killing every other pest they come in contact with.  Phantom is virtually odorless, clear in color and provides superior pest control with a long-lasting residual.
